Why am I Writing This Blog?

Someone asked me recently why I am writing these posts. Well, it’s not too complicated really.

I have always enjoyed discussing ideas. I like sharing thoughts and hearing others’ thoughts as well. Now that I’m working mainly from my home and not in the office setting I’ve been used to, I decided to write these posts to maintain a way of sharing and discussing various ideas.

Some say I have a knack for storytelling.  I do have what our family calls the ‘Vaughn storytelling gene’.  That gene, coupled with years of experience and a desire to share openly our experiences, led me to write these posts.  I need to apologize to Miss Eugenia Harvey, my seventh grade English teacher.  She is probably rolling over in her grave reading some of my sentences.  I was much better at diagramming engineering problems than sentences.   (Once I couldn’t spell engineer, now I are one.)

If you ever think I’m writing because I have something I want to prove, to be seen as greater than others or to be a know it all, then tell me because that’s not my intent. If somehow, this turns into income, that would be great but that is not really my goal.

So, for better or worse, read on, enjoy and don’t correct my English and I won’t correct yours.  Cringing is ok but keep it private ok?  Comments are desired!

Here’s the little legal reminder (unfortunately, a must these days). The thoughts and opinions expressed here are solely the thoughts and opinions of the author. Whatever actions you take as a result of reading these posts is entirely your responsibility. Don’t pin blame on anyone else. Your mileage may vary. So there. Take it or leave it. There is not warranty or guarantee written or implied and your sole remedy should something go wrong for you or others you know is to stop reading these posts.
